Hot bats power Bisons in cold home opener

The weather conditions were less than ideal, but it didn't seem to bother the hot-hitting Buffalo Bisons as they trounced the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees 12-3 Wednesday afternoon in the 2012 home opener at Coca-Cola Field. Four home runs powered the offense to an easy victory.
While the crowd was larger than expected given the weather conditions, Bisons management made a nice gesture by offering all fans who attended the game against the Yankees a chance to attend a second game during the team’s nine-game homestand.
“Any fan that bundles up and heads out to the ballpark for today’s home opener will be able to attend another game this homestand absolutely free,” said a Bisons spokesperson. “The forecast looks much better as the weekend arrives, with temperatures returning to the 60-degree mark.”
To take advantage of this offer, all fans need to do is exchange their used Opening Day tickets at the Coca-Cola Field Box Office to receive a free ticket to any other game during the opening homestand.
Classy move by the organization. And judging by the impressive Opening Day crowd, it's an offer that most in attendance won't be able to refuse.
