Posted April 28th, 2011 12:40pm

HAMBURG, NY –  Something that you usually don’t see at the horse track occurred Wednesday night at Buffalo Raceway.  As usual the eight horses in the ninth race at Buffalo started in consecutive saddle pad numbers.  After the 2 laps around the half mile track they crossed the finish line in saddle pad number.  The odds of this rare occurrence are actually 40,320-1
Somethingtobelieve and driver John Cummings Jr started from post 1 and were the first to cross the finish line.  Favorite Shes A Yankee Baby with Jack Flanigen finished second after starting from post 2.  While Cocoabella (Kevin Cummings) finished third after starting from the 3rd post position. The remaining 5 horses crossed the finish line in consecutive order of their saddle pads completing the rare occurance.
Complete results and video of the race are available at Buffalo Raceway located on The Fairgrounds in Hamburg, NY, hosts harness racing Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings.  Simulcast wagering is available Wednesday through Sunday.  As always admission and parking are free.
