Do you want to win Buffalo or not? - Blog

The Bills have started the process of interviewing, working out and assessing how QB Vince Young can fit into the Bills offense scheme as a wildcat QB or strictly as a backup to starter Ryan Fitzpatrick. A Bills insider told me the Bills wanted to sign Vince Young last year but Vince chose to go to QB guru Andy Reid in Philadelphia to try to resurrect his career that Jeff Fisher in Tennessee help bring down. I personally think the Bills should definitely sign the former #3 overall pick, surround him with a great support group and let Vince Young relax and let play football.

The NFL Draft is upon us! Which player is your favorite team going to select? - Blog

Posted by Julian Radney on April 25, 2012 - 9:06pm

The 2012 NFL draft kicks off tomorrow night at 8pm. The draft is the official starting point to the 2012 season. America’s most popular sport is back and in the lime light for the right reason (not the entire off-season being marred with the negative story of the Saints bounty program). The NFL draft symbolizes a new beginning for every franchise and a lifelong dream of many college players being achieved. A franchises fortune for years to come can be altered negatively or positively with one pick. Every pick matters from the #1 overall to Mr.

SANTA ARRIVED LATER FOR CAT FANS - Blog

Posted by John Williams on January 19, 2012 - 10:43pm

Santa Claus arrived later in Hamilton this year disguised as Bob Young. Two weeks later in fact.

The Hamilton Tiger Cat owner played a pivotal role in the days leading up to the Cats' signing of former Bills’ systems coach George Cortez as their new head coach. Cortez’s job description also includes director of football operations.

Cat fans are set for Christmas through December of 2015 as Cortez inked a four-year deal.

Is It the "Year Of The Quarterback"? - Blog

Posted by KyleSoppe on December 9, 2011 - 7:37am

We’ve been hearing that 2011-2012 is the “year of the quarterback” from various sport shows and analysts. We’ve seen ESPN specials based around this premise, and it is accurate to state that we are seeing the position played at an all time great level by a few select individuals. But I believe we are over generalizing due to the media exposure of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady. In fact, I’ll argue that running the football is still the way to succeed in the NFL, especially if you don’t have one of the aforementioned signal callers.

KAPP/MOSCA SHOWDOWN TRAGIC AS WELL AS IRONIC - Blog

Posted by John Williams on December 5, 2011 - 8:37pm

The recent stand-off between CFL legends Joe Kapp and Angelo Mosca has been well documented.

If you were vacationing on the moon and missed it, you can research You Tube or a litany of other Internet sites - to catch the punch up between the juvenile, 73-year-olds - which took place at a recent CFL alumni luncheon in conjunction with Grey Cup week.

It was a dandy by anyone’s standard regardless of age.

VANIER CUP A SHOWCASE OF CANADIAN TALENT - Blog

Posted by John Williams on December 5, 2011 - 8:26pm

Who needs the NFL or NCAA!!! After the recent CIS Vanier Cup thriller - I don’t care if I ever see another NFL or NCAA game.

YES - the NFL and NCAA are superior products bolstered by superior talent. A talent level, however, that is spawned by the greater number of American males who start playing football at a younger age compared to their Canadian counterparts.

They’re also products that are accentuated and made to look "larger than life" by the bigger crowds and media attention.
