2011 NFL MVP - Blog

Posted by KyleSoppe on November 15, 2011 - 7:40am

Yes, I know he hasn’t played a game this year as he rehabs from neck surgery. Yes, I know that he isn’t likely to return at any point this year. Yes, I know there are plenty of great players in the league today. But let’s start with providing a concrete definition for the MVP award. The term “valuable” refers to a player who means the most to his team, whose team would be lost without him.

Bright Future - Blog

Posted by Kyle Soppe on October 25, 2011 - 7:52pm

NFL staples Peyton Manning and Terrell Owens seem to be on their way out, so who can we count on to replace them? From a statistical perspective, we have two young guns who are more than ready to fill the pending void sooner rather than later.

A+ Rodgers - Blog

Posted by Kyle Soppe on October 12, 2011 - 6:32pm

Much has been made of Aaron Rodgers and his extreme success since he became the Packers starter in 2008, but how good is he really? Is he simply a product of a good situation in Cheesehead country (the Brett Favre argument)? Explain it however you’d like, but one thing is clear: what Aaron Rodgers is doing in 2011 is as impressive as any season we’ve ever seen.

Wake Up Call - Blog

Posted by ALtheGreat on September 23, 2011 - 11:45am

This week Buffalo goes against the New England Patriots. The Bills are 2-0 after beating the Chiefs 41-7 and the Raiders in a 4th quarter thriller 38-35. With New England this week, the Bills will play their “kryptonite” for the past decade or so. Buffalo has not been able to beat the Patriots in over 10 games at home. The last time Buffalo had a real shot was 2009 home opener where Bills blew an 11 point lead in the 4th quarter with the final collapse coming on Leodis Mckelvin’s fumble on the kick return which the Patriots recovered and later scored to win the game.

Still No Respect for the Bills - Blog

Posted by Buffalo Jeffrey on September 12, 2011 - 12:53pm

It's way too early in the season to be making any declarative statements about what may happen in February, but all in all I thought that the Bills played like a team to be feared yesterday; no more of this they put up a good fight but you'll still get your win team. Fitz threw for more scores than anyone else in the league, Fred Action Jackson, put up top five rushing numbers (even Spiller got into the endzone), the defense contained what is a rush first team and special teams, as always, was really solid.

The NFL Is Back!! - Story

Posted by Mr. NFL on July 30, 2011 - 6:42am

The passion is back. A nation breathed a huge sigh of relief Monday when the NFLPA executive committee and then player representatives from the NFL's 32 clubs unanimously approved the terms of a 10-year collective bargaining agreement and to “recommend settlement” of the Brady v. NFL lawsuit filed by 10 players against the league.

Hamilton Ticats cut ties with St. Joes grad Sandro DeAngelis - Press Release

Posted by press release on May 25, 2011 - 2:06pm

The Hamilton Tiger Cats released the 30-year-old Sandro DeAngelis on Tuesday after he hit a career-low 76.2 per cent of his field goal attempts last season — including just six for 12 beyond 40 yards.

DeAngelis was signed as a free agent in February 2010 after five seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. Sandro, a Niagara Falls native, grew up a Ticat fan, but he says the transition proved more difficult than he anticipated.
