Hamburg, NY – Thursday night at Buffalo Raceway was a wet and rainy night.  For the lucky fans who bet Allamerican Tiki in race three it was raining dough.
Starting from the 3rd post position as the huge long shot, driver David McNeight III settled “Tiki” in fourth before going wide at the half mile marker.  Being first over on the sloppy track did not stop “Tiki” form using a great stretch kick to hold off a late closing Four Starz Pop Pop by a nose in a photo.

Cards and Collectibles: Big Show Tonight - Blog

Posted by fillingspace on February 9, 2011 - 11:38am

I always hope for the best when I attend a sports card show -- I've been going to shows since the early 1980s.
I'll be setting up tonight at the Leonard VFW Post on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. I'll have some of the new 2011 baseball cards as well as the great cards from the 1940s, '50s and '60s.
My favorite cards will be the 1979 Wayne Gretzky rookie card, 1955 Sandy Koufax rookie card, 1961 Fleer Babe Ruth, 1951 Bowman Ted Williams and a 1951 Bowman Sammy Baugh.

Cards and Collectibles: AWFUL NEW CARDS - Blog

NO surprise here.
I got my hands on the brand-new 2011 Topps baseball cards and they STINK!!!!
There are very few stars cards and the design is another glimpse of a bad night bar-hopping. Packs sell for $2 -to $2.50 each. Mickey Mantle cards used to come from 5 cent packs.
Top cards in the First Series belong to Albert Pujols, Buster Posey, Robinson Cano, Derek jeter, David Wright, Carl Crawford, Cliff Lee, Johan Santana, Matt Holliday and Ryan Howard.
My grade for cards is D plus.
