Buffalo: It's nice to have hope again - Blog

Posted by StrawMR on June 14, 2012 - 3:17pm

Finally a reason to have hope in Buffalo

1999. That was the last year there were any serious expectations for a Buffalo Bills team going into a season.
The team was coming off a Wild Card round loss against the rival Dolphins and had expectations to not only get back to the postseason, but make a run.

Fast forward 13 years.

Buffalo hasn't made the playoffs since that 1999 season. Hell, they haven't even had a reason to be excited about the team since 2002 when they acquired Drew Bledsoe.

It's proving time for McKelvin - Blog

Contract years. They are often among the most scrutinized years in a professional athlete's career.

If he's a great player then people constantly wonder if the team will be able to retain him. If he hasn't lived up to the billing then fans will hope that the team gets rid of him. And if he performs better than he ever has up to that point, then people will believe that he's only playing well to get the big contract and will just go back to performing poorly once he hits the jackpot.

Could this year be Easley's last chance? - Blog

Posted by Michael Straw on May 31, 2012 - 6:18pm

It's been a forgetful first two years in the NFL for 2010 fourth round pick Marcus Easley.

In two seasons, the only games that Easley has participated in have been two preseason contests. Both of which came last year.

A knee injury caused him to miss all of his rookie year, and a heart ailment forced him to have to sit the entire 2011 season.  Needless to say, Easley and the rest of the Bills staff  is hoping that all his medical issues are behind him, and that he will finally be able to play for the team in 2012.
