Alabama beat Georgia yesterday 32-28 and I have been high on him all year but Ed Lacy put on a great show yesterday. He rushed the ball 20 times for 181 yards and 2 TD’s as he helped Alabama put up 32 points versus the vaunted Georgia defense that supposedly has “9 or 10 NFL players”. The only ones who showed up were Alec Ogletree and Jarvis Jones to me. TJ Yeldon also had a great game vs Georgia. He rushed 25 times for 153 yards and 1 TD. Georgia running back Todd Gurley paced Georgia rushing the ball 23 times for 122 yards and 2 TD’s. Aaron Murray did what he has done all throughout his college career as the starting QB of the Bulldogs and that’s come close in the big games but that’s always come up short. Alabama QB AJ McCarron did what he always does throughout his college career and that’s win games late by putting together clutch drives after being so so game long. It’s almost Tim Tebowesque.
Duke has been really impressive this year beating teams like #2 Louisville, #4 Ohio State and Delaware. The real surprise has been Mason Plumlee. He is averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds for the season. Just this last week he scored 16 points 7 rebounds against Louisville, 21 points and 17 rebounds against Ohio State, and 18 points and 11 rebounds against Delaware University. He is playing exceptional well. Let’s see if he can keep it up. “The Fanatic”
