The MLB draft this year will start Thurs.,June 6, when the first 2 rounds are held. The next day rounds 3 thru 10 will be held. On Sat., rounds 11 thru 40 will be held.

Historically, some 45-55% of the draftees come from California, Florida and Texas, so we have identified the general numbers by position and these 3 States.

Your 16-11 first place Buffalo Bisons conclude their current home stand with a 7:05 p.m. game tonight against Syracuse at Coca-Cola Field. The customary Friday night fireworks will follow the game.
Following a doubleheader at Rochester Saturday, the Bisons will have Sunday off and then face Gwinnett on the road in a four-game series that begins Monday and concludes on Thursday. Then it’s on to Charlotte for another four-game series before returning home on May 15 to once again take on Gwinnett.

The Buffalo Bisons this week announced the return of the annual Ballpark Brew Bash, sponsored by Consumer’s Beverages, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 15 at Coca-Cola Field. Proceeds of the event will benefit local charities.
This unique event allows craft beer fans to taste some of the most exclusive brews from across the country and the world while touring the home of the Buffalo Bisons. Breweries will be set up on all levels of Coca-Cola Field, from the clubhouses to the luxury suites to the field itself.
Major League Baseball is well under way, and the Buffalo Bisons have begun another season of play at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo. And for diehard fans of local baseball, that surely brings back memories of old ballparks such as War Memorial Stadium (The Rockpile) and Offermann Stadium.
The weather conditions were less than ideal, but it didn't seem to bother the hot-hitting Buffalo Bisons as they trounced the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees 12-3 Wednesday afternoon in the 2012 home opener at Coca-Cola Field. Four home runs powered the offense to an easy victory.
While the crowd was larger than expected given the weather conditions, Bisons management made a nice gesture by offering all fans who attended the game against the Yankees a chance to attend a second game during the team’s nine-game homestand.
Great Lakes Red Sox were leading 3-0 going into the 8th inning against Team New Era in the quarter finals of the Men's Senior Baseball League Tournament in Florida. In the 8th, Team New Era scored 3 runs to tie up the ball game. Rick Foit got a single, Curt Hoffman bunted for a single, John Barberio got a hit, Joe Ferrando got hit by a pitch, scoring a run, and Jeremy Ross got another hit bringing in 2 more runs.
Team New Era playing in the Men's Senior Baseball League National Tournament in Florida took the rough road or back door into the playoffs of the 35+ wood bat tournament today.
