ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - May 7 - The Erie Community College lacrosse team placed six members on the All-Western New York Athletic Conference team, announced today by the league.
WATERTOWN, N.Y. - April 28 - Freshman Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) and sophomore Destiny Sampson (Irving, N.Y./Gowanda) each had two goals in the Erie Community College lacrosse team's 18-8 loss to Jefferson CC.
Hill added three assists while Sampson recorded two. Freshman Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) scored one goal and assisted on three others.
The Kats close the regular season 5-6.
WATERTOWN, N.Y. - April 28 - Freshman Jill Zbytek (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cleveland Hill) had three hits to lead the Erie Community College softball team to an 8-7 win in game two of Sunday's Region III doubleheader against Jefferson CC. Jefferson CC won the opener, 8-0.
ECC's Marissa Kazmierczak (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca West) had two hits, including a double.
The Kats, now 6-12, will play Alfred State College in a doubleheader Tuesday at Santo DeSain Field.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - April 26 - Onondaga CC, the nation's second-ranked team, scored 18 unanswered goals in the first half and handed the Erie Community College women's lacrosse team a 21-4 loss Friday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium. OCC is now 11-1.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - April 24 - The top-ranked and unbeaten Monroe CC women's lacrosse team handed Erie Community College a 22-2 loss Wednesday afternoon. Monroe CC is now 13-0.
The Kats' Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) and Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) scored goals. Brooklynn Schilling (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) made 14 saves.
ECC, 5-4, will play no. 2 Onondaga CC at 4 p.m. Friday at Jim Ball Stadium.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - April 20 - The Erie Community College lacrosse team improved to 5-3 with a 25-5 win over Broome CC Saturday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium. The Kats were led by freshman Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) who recorded a season-high nine goals to go with five assists. Hill now ranks seventh in scoring in the NJCAA with 42 points (28 goals/14 assists).
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - April 17 - Freshman Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) scored a team-high four goals to lead the Erie Community College women's lacrosse team to a 13-7 win over Niagara County CC Wednesday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium.
Sophomores Destiny Sampson (Irving, N.Y./Gowanda), Gabrielle Stribing (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) and Emery Fleck (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) each scored two goals for ECC as did freshman Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg).
HERKIMER, N.Y. - April 13 - The ninth-ranked Erie Community College lacrosse team suffered an 18-8 loss Saturday at Herkimer County CC in Region III action. The Kats, now 3-3, were led by Destiny Sampson (Irving, N.Y./Gowanda) and freshman Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg). Each player recorded two goals and three assists.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – April 10 - The Erie Community College lacrosse team is ranked ninth in today's NJCAA poll. The Kats are 3-2 and were also ninth in the March 27 edition of the poll.
Wednesday’s game against second-ranked Onondaga CC was canceled due to weather.
ECC’s losses this season are to two ranked teams, No. 3 Anne Arundel (Md.) CC and No. 7 Mohawk Valley CC.
The Kats will play at Herkimer County CC at 1 p.m. Saturday.
SANBORN, N.Y. - April 8 - The ninth-ranked Erie Community College women's lacrosse team got a total of 10 goals from freshmen Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) and Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) as the Kats recorded a 15-5 win over Niagara County CC.
