UB Bulls Place Ten Into East Regionals Field - Press Release

  A total of ten University at Buffalo athletes in 12 events have earned invitations to compete in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East Region Preliminary Round, the first step to the NCAA National Championships. The regionals are scheduled for May 24-26 at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville.

UB's Bob Golabek Earns All-America Status in Shot Put - Press Release

COLLEGE STATION, TX – With his eighth-place finish on Friday night in the men’s shot put competition, the University at Buffalo’s Rob Golabek earned All-America status at the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championships in College Station, TX.
Golabek finished with a best throw of 61-4.75 (18.71m) to place eighth overall. Golabek achieved the top throw with his second attempt in the first round. He moved into final round standing eighth as the top nine throwers advanced.

Buffalo State’s Xavier Mateen (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) and Jasmine Poles (Rochester/LeRoy) were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Track Male and Female Athletes of the Week respectively after their performances at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-January Meet on Friday.

Mateen, a senior computer information systems major, won the 55-meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 6.47 and was second in the 200-meter dash (22.72).
