Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks evened their best of seven NBA series finals with a dramatic come from behind 95-93 win over the Miami Heat on the Heat’s home court late Thursday night. Down by 15 points with seven minutes left Nowitzki hit a dramatic three-point jumper with 26.5 seconds left, then won the game with a pretty left-handed drive and finishing layup with the game clock at 2.5 seconds. Playing with a torn tendon injured left hand taped with a splint around his hand he carried the Mav’s to the crucial game 2 victory.
NBA Dallas Maverick All Star forward Dirk Nowitzki has shown incredible twisting, and acrobatic basketball moves throughout the NBA playoffs in the past month. The 14 year veteran in Tuesday night’s game 4 of the Western Conference Finals again was Baryshnikov–like demonstrating an incredible array of ingenious finishes to the basket plays and accurate jump shots. With the Mavericks now taking a 3-1 lead in the series the Mav’s look like they will be representing the Western Conference in the NBA finals starting June 2.
